Concord-Carlisle High School Golf

The Concord-Carlisle High School Golf Team is a co-ed fall sport competing in the Dual County League at the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association (MIAA) Division II level.  The team is made up of 16 members representing all four grades.  The program has been extremely successful over the last decade, and in 2008 won the school's first-ever Massachusetts Division II State Championship after finishing second out of 14 teams in the North Sectional tournament.  Both were the best finishes in school history.  Just as importantly, the team has won the DCL Sportsmanship in both 2005 and 2008 in recognition of the spirit of respectful competitiveness that defines the program.  CCHS has qualified for the state tournament the last seven years in a row and won 47 matches over the last four seasons.  The average player has a USGA handicap index of 13.0 or better, is able to shoot 45 or better from the black tees on the front nine at Concord Country Club, with our top players shooting in the high 30’s/low 40’s on a consistent basis.  The team plays nine-hole matches and, following a one-year switch to a 12-point Match Play format, in 2009 the DCL will switch back to a Modified Stableford system.  CCHS is extremely fortunate to practice and play at Concord CC, playing the front nine of one of the best courses in Eastern Massachusetts.  Tryouts will last two days and will be held in late August, and the season runs through the end of October. 

Starting in 2008, the Dual County League divided in to two six-team divisions, grouped by school enrollment, with separate league champions being crowned.  Teams will play home-and-home matches against the other schools from their division and three "cross-over" match against comparable teams from the other division.  The divisional breakdown is:
